Untitled Halo MMO

"Ensemble has been wanting to make an MMO for a long time. That was in production for a long time. The Halo IP was a great IP for launch a Halo MMO with. Microsoft...hasn't had the best track record with those. And we worked on it for a long time--we had staffed up a almost-40 person team. And then there was some reorganization at Microsoft, and the new bosses thought it wasn't the best idea anymore. It had actually been green-lit, and then it got cancelled after that."

Overview

The Halo MMO, codenamed Titan or Orion was a Halo MMO game that was originally set for release in all games stores except it was cancelled due to time constraints.

Dave Pottinger loved the idea of a Halo MMO since it would take the halo franchise into a whole new way of playing halo. Sure there is First Person Shooting and RPG's but an MMO would surely be awesome. Unfortunetly, as you all know, silly and annoying Microsoft ceased production of it. Damn you! It would have made Halo even more awesomer than it currently is!

The Plot of the game remains unknown and so do the details. Some photos can be found on Google Images like this one up above. Concept can be seen of some of the previous content that was going to feature in the MMO. The Vehicles include Runner-Class Transports, Aardvarks, Grackles and Rhinos [not to be confused with the Halo Wars Tanks]. the Species included Sentients, an unknown flood form, Forerunners, Humans, covenant, Diggerz, Jaggmaw Sawtails, Psion and Rogue.

Apart from that, not much else is known about the Halo MMO. It was described as WoW [World of Warcraft] in space. It is unknown if this is true.

It is said that Ensemble Studios, creators of Halo Wars had a part in the project of the untitled MMO.
